Brief tales: Over in a flash.

While there is no widely accepted definition of what flash fiction is or it's accepted length should be, it is most definitely a style of literary fiction. Flash fiction is sometimes known by names such as micro fiction, micro narrative, micro-story, postcard fiction, short short, short short story, and sudden fiction, but one thing is certain... the story is usually told in 1,000 words or less. Despite being very short, a story is still a story. There must be interesting characters and work toward resolving a conflict. Flash fiction is not a story outline, nor simply a snippet from a longer story or novel. In this space, you will find stories posted from time to time... for your enjoyment.
